Essentials
What is essential for life in the material world?
· Sufficient food and drink and air
· Shelter and energy
· Protection from danger; other living beings and natural disturbances
· Good mental and bodily health
· Social contact and peace
These are basic needs for survival of a human being but they only apply to the body and mind of the living being.
What does the eternal living being who lives within the body require for his well-being?
· The realization that I am not this temporary material body, which I don’t need, and that I exist eternally in a spiritual body.
· To understand I am part and parcel of the Supreme Person. I am an eternal individual person.
· To be reinstated in my original position as the loving friend/servant of The Supreme Friend.
· To always be under the loving protection of the Supreme Person.
I have two options for existence:
1) Take shelter of my material body, mind, and intelligence, and try to be master and controller in the material world.
· Try to protect myself and loved ones from all dangers and calamities.
· Try to Find happiness in my endeavors.
· Try to become wealthy, famous, healthy by my own power.
· Try to avoid all injuries, disease, hunger, thirst, anger, envy, jealousy, fear, illusion, etc.
· Try to die in peace, not knowing what happens next.
· Try to find the perfect spouse.
· Try to overcome the defects of the embodied living being (imperfect senses, making mistakes, coming under illusion, cheating).
· Be controlled by time and karmic reaction
· Etc. etc. etc. etc. …………………………………………………………………………………
2) Surrender to the Supreme Owner and Controller, the Supreme Friend Who always loves me unconditionally.
· Receive His mercy and grace to become self-realized and reinstated in my transcendental position as His loving servant and friend.
· Receive all protection while residing within the material world.
· Continually experience ever-increasing spiritual love and happiness
· Become free of sinful action and reaction, no longer under the law of karma.
· No longer suffer from material desires and attachments.
· Be free from anger, envy, jealousy, ignorance, illusion, cheating, etc.
· Love all living beings and be their best friend in this world.
· At the end of life, leave the body in full knowledge and peace.
· Etc. etc. etc. etc. …………………………………………………………………………………
Bg 18.56 Though engaged in all kinds of activities, My devotee, under My protection, reaches the eternal and imperishable abode by My grace.
Bg 18.57 In all activities just depend upon Me and work always under My protection. In such devotional service, be fully conscious of Me.
Bg 18.58 If you become conscious of Me, you will pass over all the obstacles of conditional life by My grace.

¿Qué es esencial para la vida en el mundo material?
• Suficiente comida, bebida y aire
• Vivienda y energía

• Buena salud mental y corporal
• Contacto social y paz
Estas son necesidades básicas para la supervivencia de un ser humano, pero solo se aplican al cuerpo y la mente del ser vivo.
¿Qué requiere para su bienestar el ser viviente eterno que vive dentro del cuerpo?
• La comprensión de que no soy este cuerpo material temporal, que no necesito, y que existo eternamente en un cuerpo espiritual.
• Comprender que soy parte integrante de la Persona Suprema. Soy una persona individual eterna.
• Ser reinstalado en mi posición original como el amante amigo/servidor del Amigo Supremo.
• Estar siempre bajo la protección amorosa de la Persona Suprema.
Tengo dos opciones de existencia:
1) Refugiarme en mi cuerpo, mente e inteligencia materiales, y tratar de ser amo y controlador en el mundo material.
• Tratar de protegerme a mí ya mis seres queridos de todos los peligros y calamidades.
• Tratar de encontrar la felicidad en mis esfuerzos.
• Tratando de volverme rico, famoso, saludable por mi propio poder.
• Tratando de evitar todo daño, enfermedad, hambre, sed, ira, envidia, celos, miedo, ilusión, etc.
• Tratar de morir en paz, sin saber qué pasará después.
• Tratar de encontrar la pareja perfecta.
• Tratar de superar los defectos del ser vivo encarnado (sentidos imperfectos, equivocarse, caer en la ilusión, engañar).
• Ser controlado por el tiempo y la reacción kármica
• Etc. etc. etc. etc. ……………………………………………………………………………………
2) Entregarme al Supremo Dueño y Controlador, al Supremo Amigo que siempre me ama incondicionalmente.
• Recibir Su misericordia y gracia para ser autorrealizado y reinstaurado en mi posición trascendental como Su amoroso servidor y amigo.
• Recibir toda la protección mientras resida en el mundo material.
• Experimentar continuamente amor espiritual y felicidad cada vez mayores.
• Liberarse de la acción y reacción pecaminosas, ya no estar bajo la ley del karma.
• Ya no sufrir de deseos y apegos materiales.
• Estar libre de ira, envidia, celos, ignorancia, ilusión, engaño, etc.
• Amar a todos los seres vivos y ser su mejor amigo en este mundo.
• Al final de la vida, dejar el cuerpo en pleno conocimiento y paz.
• Etc. etc. etc. etc. ……………………………………………………………………………………
Bg 18.56 Aunque ocupado en toda clase de actividades, Mi devoto, bajo Mi protección, alcanza la morada eterna e imperecedera por Mi gracia.
Bg 18.57 En todas las actividades sólo depende de Mí y trabaja siempre bajo Mi protección. En tal servicio devocional, sean plenamente conscientes de Mí.
Bg 18.58 Si te vuelves consciente de Mí, superarás todos los obstáculos de la vida condicionada por Mi gracia.
