I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For.
“I still haven’t found what I am looking for” was a line sung by Bono of the band U2 and expresses a basic law of material existence.
If I don’t know what I am looking for, then all my looking is simply a waste of time. Such is life in the material world, a continuous quest of “I still haven’t found what I am looking for”.
If I am looking in the wrong place but don’t know it, then I also will never find what I am looking for.
When I find what I am looking for then I stop looking. In the material dimension whatever I find, thinking “this is it”, in time disappears and I resume the search, looking and looking throughout the universe.
What drives the living being to spend lifetime after lifetime in the same quest that fails every time: “I still haven’t found what I am looking for?”
Searching in relationships, wealth, power, science, politics, music, sports, recreation, travel, family, exploration, inventions, education, philosophy, liberation, everyone has to admit “I still haven’t found what I am looking for”.
Failure is built in because everything I have accumulated, thinking this is what I am looking for, is taken away at death, and I am still left with “I still haven’t found what I am looking for”.
I don’t even know that I am an eternal spiritual being.
The material dimension is a dark cloud in a corner of the spiritual dimension within which eternal living beings accept temporary material bodies. Bodies which are imperfect, prone to injury and disease, limited in strength and intelligence, riddled with jealousy, envy, anger, greed, lust, to begin looking for that which only exists within the spiritual dimension they left behind.
My entire goal, struggling for existence, is illusory because I have forgotten what I am actually craving and looking for and which cannot be found in the dark material dimension. I have downgraded from perfect eternal spiritual existence.
What I am looking for can be found in transcendental sound from the spiritual dimension which enters the material dimension to fulfill “what I am looking for”.
By listening to transcendental sound below I can begin to realize what I am actually looking for. It is transcendental love.
Krishna!
So true‼️I remember thinking at age 24 I had everything I had desired, but I wrote in a poem I still had “quiet dissatisfaction.” Mercifully, I was given a bonafide teacher from whom I could learn the science of identity & the actual goal of life. True knowledge is descending not ascending. Thank you🙏
